Charging becomes simpler with the introduction of Porsche's new Plug & Charge system. Authentication is automatically handled upon connecting your vehicle to the charging cable, while Plug & Charge points will be available across the country as we move into 2021.
Other new electric features include battery preservation, Function on Demand, and Porsche InnoDrive. Battery Preservation regulates charging capacity across specific points, depending on the planned stop length. Using the 2021 Taycan's Central Display, drivers can easily access battery preservation and make the most of the Taycan's range.
Function on Demand involves convenience, driver-assist functions, and accessibility features. Drivers can purchase and access new features as they choose through a monthly subscription, or a 3-month free trial upon owning a new 2021 Taycan. Features include Active Lane Keep Assist, InnoDrive speed adaptation , and many more.
